Intapol - Extra extra

AI was involved in the making of this EP, I am not afraid.
I rate stable diffusion
I suspect these images will age like fine rave flyers.
All tracks hand crafted on my LMMS fork
A lot of homegrown software involved here,
none of it written by AI (yet)

Tears in rain

Electronica, I guess. Ambient, but it has graced dance floors
Written for David Galceran
who shares a mutual love of this speech/poem/moment in time
AI made the voice possible
6 months ago it was not
I'd give props to the software but its already(2025) not available
AI moves fast

Techno beat

Bassy beats techno
Voice created by passing text through a stack
of algorithmic and AI voice tools

On the way up

Moody LFO wobbles; e-track
Minimal (in the original sense)
Trancy (in the original sense)
Somehow downbeat and double-time
Sounds like a synth? But its all Goldbaby
If it sounds like a sample looped
I have succeeded.
I had to break my own FX rules for this track

Dressed in white

Despite the weirdly async LFO and length of the intro
dressed in white has proved its mettle on dance floors.
Felt like this track wrote itself,
it was part of the "single minded" project
which are tracks that do one thing only.
Sequenced in the middle of the night,
while on the phone,
in one take.
Needs mastering, but it pains me to touch version 1.0,
any takers?

Logic error on TTY1

A distorted, 1/4, kick & hat that does not stop.
A single minded chime that is never quite rhythm.
A drop that sneaks up on you: the kick & hat never relented.
"Logic error on TTY1" is an insult to humans,
by computers, who have to accept our broken input.

Metrognome

A 2/4 beat, tekno synth and hardtek sound bank.
Gentle use of groove quantising at the end of phrase
gives just enough skip to remind you
that Spiral hardtek was never aggressive.
